The Boy From the Basement,

A book i read would be The Boy From the Basement. The book was about a boy who mistreated by his father and he was raised differently from how a regular kid would be raised. He was paranoid and dramatized by all the bad and harmful things his dad had done to him. He escapes one night and ends up in a hospital which he believes that his father send him for punishment. The police get involved because he was found in the streets in the middle of the night, soaked and dirty. The police ask him questions but he is afraid to answer them because he thinks he father wont approve. He drew a picture for the police of his parents and then when the police finally found his parents, he was afraid because his dad was threatening to not say anything that he had done to Charlie.
